With EZ-CHECK setting up your table saw or router table is a snap. No more fumbling with depth gauges or straight-line rulers to precisely set the depth of cut or the fence distance! You will love the improvement in accuracy and time-saving.
No Parallax Errors -- Unlike using a ruler where a little tip of your head can cause inaccurate measurements, the large clear EZ-CHECK screen shows you the exact measurement as a single number avoiding measurement errors.
Three Measurement Modes -- The EZ-CHECK gauge has three measurement modes: Fractional Inch (1/64" resolution), Decimal Inch (0.000" resolution), and Metric in millimeters (0.00 mm resolution) to let you get the measurement you need, and with a switch of the mode you can convert between imperial and metric measurement.
Over/Under Measurement -- The EZ-CHECK can not only measure what's under the rigid steel measurement arm but what's OVER the measurement arm. Measure below any space (taller than ¼") and then add ¼" (0.250") to the final measurement.
Transfer a Measurement -- Say you want to put a mini-track in a dado, raise the foot of the EZ-Check and place it on the mini-track, then turn the locking screw. Raise the top of the dado blade set to the measuring foot, cut the dado and voilà, the track fits.
Conquer the Lock Miter -- Setting up a lock miter router bit is a pain, but not with EZ-Check. Add half of the bit's length to half of the board's thickness, and then raise the bit above the router table by that distance. Then set the distance from the fence to the broadest part of the extended bit to be the thickness of the joining boards.
Set Router Bit Height to Any Part of Bit Profile -- Set the EZ-CHECK foot to the desired height, turn the locking screw, then raise the bit until the point of the EZ-CHECK measuring foot is at the selected point of the bit profile.
Measure to Centerline of a Router Bit -- With EZ-CHECK laying flat, you can accurately measure from a router table fence to the cutting edges of the router bit. Or you can measure to the centerline of the bit thanks to offsets for 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" bit shanks in the rigid measurement arm.
