No More Guessing or “Pretty Close”! With the new EZ-View Digital Planer Readouts (DRO) from IGaging, you can accurately plane rough lumber and repeat that exact thickness setting later for subsequent boards.

Dial in the perfect planer depth setting every time to provide the most efficient planer performance. Quickly match board thickness to an existing dado or groove without repetitive test fits. Work in decimal inches, fractions, or millimeters to suit the way you work. Use absolute or incremental measuring modes.

Separate iGaging DRO models are available for either portable or stationary planers. The head (which contains the cutter knives) moves up and down with portable models. The bed moves up and down with stationary planers, and the head remains fixed. This model is designed for stationary planers but is adaptable to most portable planers.

The DRO’s digital beam quickly mounts directly to the planer head and bed using the included brackets and very high bond (VHB) tape, or you can utilize the included taps and screws. It mates to various planers with little fuss. Calibration takes seconds using a 2-button calibration system and a freshly planned board. The separate lighted digital display with prominent characters mounts anywhere on the planer and offers easy readability in any work environment.

Constructed with precision-machined metal parts, the digital readout is precise and durable. It will last many years without concerns of fatigue or the need to recalibrate. It uses a long-lasting CR2450 battery that has more capacity and will last longer than the standard CR2032. You can alternatively utilize the included AC adapter and USB cable to power the unit from an electrical 120 AC outlet as an alternative to the battery power. The DRO is also set to turn off after 5 minutes without use but will return to the previous reading with a touch of a button.
